Payments, Cancellations, Refunds, Terms and Conditions

  1. Participants who have a medical history of blood pressure, heart-related problems or asthma are advised to seek medical advice enrolling for the package
  2. An all-inclusive meal plan includes (lunch and dinner on arrival date and breakfast on departure date). Resorts will not provide any refund or an extension/substitution if a meal is missed by the customer. All extra meals will be charged on the actuals and need to be paid by the customer and at the resort itself (bills have to be cleared before checkout).
  3. Early check-ins and late check-outs are not possible as these are jungle resorts with only few cottages. We can only put in a request to the resort but it all depends on cottages availability. Usual check-in and check-out times are 1 pm and 11 am respectively but please check once for the particular resort you have booked in.
  4. There are times (very very rarely) (especially during peak season some of the resorts will be overbooked) in such cases, we will provide you accommodation in a different resort but of similar standards ( we will never compromise on the quality)
  5. Safari booking is controlled by the forest department and in very rare cases, without notice, they reduce the number of gypsies and/or cancel some of the bookings, and/or change/cancel mode & type of safari and in such cases, Wildtrails will not be liable to anything that comes under forest dept. and their decisions but we will try our level best for all possible alternates
  6. In case of any adverse climatic conditions, or due to any bandhs or for some god created events or some natural calamities and/or health hazards, which are all not in our control, if the safari gets canceled by the dept., we will try to get them postponed to a different date but we won’t be responsible or liable or that
  7. Please note that in case if you miss a safari for being late or for not getting relevant booking vouchers or government IDs, WildTrails will not be responsible for the missed safari
  8. Once the booking of the safari is done, any changes in the participants such as adding more or dropping a few or replacement won’t happen and we won’t facilitate either. We have to cancel the existing booking under no-refund and book a new one as a new booking.
  9. In the case of shared safari, WildTrails will not take any responsibility other than handing over the vouchers. You will be sharing a gypsy with other groups and we will not be responsible for any kind of argument, change in decisions made by the people on the safari, cancellations, rerouting, additional charges as few didn’t show up etc as we will not in control of the process other than handing over the vouchers.
  10. Shared safari does not provide pick-up and drop service from the resort and you have to make your own arrangements for the same and be sure to be at the safari point in time. in case you are not there in time, and miss safaris, WildTrails will not be responsible or liable for it.
  11. We usually take money once we are sure of bookings but there are rare times, due to unavoidable circumstances, cannot go through the bookings and in such cases, we will refund the entire amount
  12. Please note that many times when you are the resort, some unscrupulous elements may offer say a better safari etc say maybe at a cheaper rate, but please note many of these are conducted in illegal manners - if you choose on taking these safaris, we will not be responsible for any extra cost and WildTrails nor our guides/trackers will not be responsible to these acts that you chose. WildTrails will never follow any procedures that are considered illegal, and we will not entertain price comparisons as they are not legit. The Forest department has taken strict action when finding out such things, and has charged heavily when caught. Please be beware of such offers.
  13. WildTrails, shall not be responsible for injuries, damages, or losses caused to any traveller in connection with social or labour unrest, mechanical or operational issues of any gypsies, mechanical or construction failures or difficulties, diseases, local laws, climatic conditions, terrorist activities, abnormal conditions or developments or what happens inside the jungle while on safari or any other actions, omissions, or conditions outside the travel partners control. In such cases, we will not be able to refund any part of the payment nor will we be able to advance nor will be liable to any happenings but we will try our level best on how we can work this out with the relevant government agencies.
  14. WildTrails will not be able honor any of your last-minute requests & changes to your resort and/or safari. Please do enough research before you accept the package.
  15. If you are dealing with USD or any other currencies other than INR, we will inform you of the INR rates that are prevalent then and equivalent to other currencies. Due to fluctuations in the forex market, we will have to constantly revise (up or down) depending on when we pay respective parts (safari, cab, resort etc) and any upward changes will be borne by you when informed. Also our forex quotes are approximate rates and when deposited into our Indian bank, we will let know you how much INR actually came in, if more than what we quoted, we will refund and on the other hand of it is less that what we quoted, you have to pay the difference.
  16. Please note that WildTrails will not refund any amount if canceled or postponed within 30 days of the start date of the trip (even if the constituent parts like resorts, safaris, cabs, etc. has some refund) and that’s our policy
  17. In case of a cancellations (requested by you), WildTrails refund policy as below:
    1. 30% deduction anytime after the trip is booked.
    2. 50% payment deduction, if 1 month before the trip is canceled.
    3. 85% payment deduction, if 15 days before the trip is canceled.
    4. 100% payment deduction, if the trip is canceled within 15 days.
  18. Please note that safari charges once paid to the govt. Cannot be refunded and hence safari charges will not be part of the refund amount.
  19. Please note that all refunds (for whatever amount approved as per our terms) will be credit notes which have to be availed in the next 12 months. If you insist on cash refunds, a further 20% will be deducted as convenience charges for cash refunds.
  20. In case of any changes, we charge 10% as a change fee from our side (if there is scope & availability for a change) and any resort/safari/governmental charges if any on top of it. (change is possible only if there is availability).
  21. Please note that refund takes 2 to 4 weeks (if it is in the form of a credit note) once the refund amount is settled. If the refund is in cash, please add another 2 weeks for Indian banks and 4 weeks for international banks. Also please note that any bank charges for such a cash refund will have to be borne by the customer.
  22. Any cancellations that happen due to force majeure including health alerts, travel alerts, health pandemics etc, WildTrails reserves the rights to change the cancellation policies.
  23. WildTrails as a platform company may not have control over the kind of gypsy/van/Landcruiser handed over to you for safari and we cannot guarantee that it will suit your tastes and we will not be able to make any changes. Also note that safari vehicles (say in Africa or in India) will not be AC at all.
  24. Please note that once we pick up and on the way to the resort and back to the airport/railway station etc, any restaurant/cafe/etc stops made by your own choice and any delays, expenses or issues that might occur at the stop are outside the purview of WildTrails and we will not be liable for any such matters/events that might happen. Also (especially in some parts of India and in Kenya and Tanzania and many other parts of the world that are not explicitly mentioned, any delay in your arrival or any delay or may or may not be the case, food/food places may or may not be available on the way to the resort and hence ensure that you carry enough snacks/food packed for the journey (especially critical if your party involves children & infants) as we are traveling to/from forest area and not in cities/metros. WildTrails will not be liable any costing for any such food bought on the way nor we will be liable to refund
  25. If the cab booked for travel between any two places faces any issues be it is a flat tire or engine failure etc, wildtrails support will try our level best to make alternate arrangements as these are machines and are bound to happen as rare as they are but WildTrails will not be liable for any of this issues risen due to such events and will not refund any amount that might have happened expensed out due to this delay.
  26. Please note you are in the forest area and we request you to be on guard all the time and any criminal or such issues you face, please inform the nearest police station. WildTrails will not be liable nor able to refund or pay for any of the casualties that may happen.
  27. WildTrails will not cover travel insurance for any of its clients/customers and we request you to make sure that you cover yourself and all of your traveling party with adequate insurances to cover for any mishaps, lost goods, etc as the case may be.
  28. Please note that WildTrails will not be liable for any lost/stolen goods when you are traveling and during your entire trip. Please try not to carry any costly articles but if you have to carry, please make sure you keep an eye on it all times
  29. Please note that WildTrails responsibility is mainly as a platform and as a facilitator connecting all necessary parties to you such as safari makers, trackers, resorts, cab service etc and even though we personally check their backgrounds, we cannot be liable for their actions and we will not be liable for such events, god forbid, happens and we request all our guests to be always on their precautions and vigilant.
  30. WildTrails will do both functions, as an end to end travel agent as well as act as a platform connecting the customer to one or multiple operators/jungle resorts. Our responsibility ends with providing you the booking vouchers and/or guidance & direction in “end-to-end” model and in “platform model”, providing the connect. We will do all sorts of background check before we add an operator and/or resort but having said that we will not take the responsibility of the operator and/or the transactions
  31. WildTrails and its affiliates assume no responsibility for any consequence relating directly or indirectly to any action or inaction you take based on the content available via the website. you must evaluate, and bear all risks associated with, the use of any content, including any reliance on the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of such content. you specifically acknowledge that WildTrails is not liable for the defamatory, offensive or illegal conduct of users or third parties.
  32. Additionally, in no event will WildTrails or its affiliates be liable for any special, indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages, including, without limitation, any loss of use, loss of profits, loss of data, cost of procurement of substitute products or services, or any other such damages, howsoever caused, and on any theory of liability, whether for breach of contract, tort (including negligence and strict liability), or otherwise resulting from (1) the use of, or the inability to use the website; (2) the cost of procurement of substitute services, items, or websites; (3) unauthorized access to or alteration of your transmissions or data; (4) the statements or conduct of any third party on the website; or (5) any other matter relating to the website. these limitations will apply whether or not WildTrails has been advised of the possibility of such damages and notwithstanding any failure of essential purpose of any limited remedy.
  33. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless WildTrails, its directors, officers, employees, owners, agents, and affiliates, from and against any and all liability, damages, losses, claims, expenses of any kind (including, without limitation, reasonable attorneys' fees) directly or indirectly related to (1) your breach of the Agreement; or (2) the user content you submit, post, or transmit through the website.
  34. This Agreement and the resolution of any dispute related to this Agreement or the website or the apps shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law. Any legal action or proceeding between WildTrails and you related to the Agreement shall be brought exclusively in the high court of Bangalore, India and you agree to submit to the personal and exclusive jurisdiction of such courts.
